There are a lot of things that Sausage doesn't want, and her dad can't really figure around it. But Sausage can. For example, there is a day when Sausage does not want to go to kindergarten, and a day when she does not want to shower, and there is also a day when she does not want to eat dinner, and she does not want Dad to be embarrassing at all!
The books about Sausage and her father are funny and warm tales of recognizable everyday situations for families with children. They can be read from the age of 3.
The performance takes 30 min. Afterwards, you can greet Oliver and Siri as well as draw and colorize at the library's small crafting stations.
Who can you meet?
Oliver ZahleOliver Zahle is the author behind the books about Sausage. He tells in a funny and warm way about Sausage and her father — and about an everyday life that most children will recognize. Oliver has done children's radio on DR, written and directed film and television narratives, as well as written picture books.
Siri Melchior Siri Melchior is an illustrator and writer, and she is responsible for the cute drawings in the 'Sausage' series. She's done both books and cartoons, and I'm sure you know her stories about Rita and the crocodile. Siri has also made the series about 'Lili', 'Berta', 'Fuzzy' and many other beautiful tales.

For non-Danish speakers, this event is a mix between a stage performance and a live illustration session with the author and illustrator behind a series of Danish picture books about the girl called Pølse and her father. They will tell stories about Sausage, read aloud from the book in Danish while creating live illustrations on stage.
The stage performance lasts 30 minutes and requires the children to understand basic Danish. Afterwards, children and their adults can join a casual creative workshop. This part does not require any understanding of Danish.
Children must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate.
