MACABRE

The Macabre have been spreading scandal for more than 40 years, in an unchanged line-up, faithful to the formula developed at the dawn of murder metal, which is a unique combination of proto-death metal, thrash, punk, grind and... folk songs. Nefarious, Corporate Death and Dennis the Menace aren't competing with anyone — they've released six big albums and a handful of epics in that time — and they don't have to prove anything. Seriously and with impunity, they murder good taste and a pleasant atmosphere, and that is why they have earned the status of a living legend.

What smells so beautiful? Schirenc Plays Pungent Stench come to us from Vienna to remind us who at the dawn of the 90s ruled in the gore death metal category and enjoyed a well-deserved reputation as one of the most extreme bands in Europe. Pungent Stench are the authors of such iconic albums as “For God Your Soul... For Me Your Flesh” and “Been Caught Buttering”. Today Martin Schirenc, guitarist and vocalist, takes care of the legacy of his native group, again with Jacek Perkowski at his side. And he actually cared... Recently, Schirenc announced that he will end the activity of this project in 2026, so it is with these concerts that he will say goodbye to the Polish audience. Long live Death!

Poles are not geese and they have their stories from the morgue. Before the concerts of Macabre and Schirenc Plays Pungent Stench, the audience will be buried in the Silesian Forest of Trumien. The band showed the full extent of their sludge/doom capabilities on the 2024 album “Builders of Terror”. It is enough to combine the titles of two issues from this album to describe the contact with their work: a long way to hell to feel better.
