The artist returns to us as part of a concert tour on the occasion of the release of a new album,

My journey began classically. Music school, academy, Chopin competitions. Hours spent on phrase, breath, silence between sounds. I still remember cassette tapes with recordings of the Chopin Competition — I listened to them over and over again, trying to understand what was really hidden between the notes. I played in Szafarnia, Antonin — places where Chopin's music still breathes. There I learned sensitivity, narration, attentiveness to every sound.

After more than two decades, Maciej Tubis again reaches for Chopin's music, but today he looks at it from a completely different perspective. He returns to it with the baggage of his own experiences, emotions and artistic freedom.

He does not try to reproduce it or repeat it faithfully. Instead, he allows Chopin's sounds to pass through his own sensibilities and sound in a new, contemporary form.

“About Chopin...” is a tribute and a conversation between the past and the present.

The album will be released on August 28th.
