The story of Cio-cio-san, a geisha who gives her heart to a sailor, is the quintessence of opera and at the same time a mastery of the work of Giacomo Puccini. This multidimensional story not only brings out what is most valuable in the opera genre, but also makes the audience aware of the paradox of love. The music keeps the audience in emotional tension throughout the performance until the tragic finale, in which a real explosion of feelings takes place.
PERFORMANCE WITH AUDIODESCRIPTION AND SENSORY WALK for people with visual disabilities - November 14, 2026
A performance with a live voiceover reading of what is happening on stage. Audio descriptions can be listened to through a special receiver equipped with headphones. Due to the limited number of receivers, the audio description is available upon prior reservation of the receiver at the Audience Service Office (tel. 58 350 06 15 or e-mail: %receiver%).
A sensory walk is an introduction to the performance, which allows you to get to know the exhibited work and its staging by experiencing different senses of its individual elements. During the walk, we act on different senses - smell or touch (you can touch the costume, elements of the scenography), but we also use the action through movement. The walk starts one hour before the performance with audio description and lasts a maximum of 30 minutes.
