About the concert
You could say that all cinematic roads lead to... Hollywood. This one of the most famous neighborhoods of Los Angeles, is the most important center of world cinema. It is here that the most important film companies are based, whose productions delight viewers all over the world to this day.
The success of the film consists not only of an outstanding cast, acting at the highest level or a great script. It is also music that enriches the narrative, builds tension and emotions. And here they appear — composers, seeing melodies in the letters of the script. One of the most prominent creators in this field is John Williams — a living legend of film music, creator of soundtracks for more than 100 films, such as Harry Potter, Indiana Jones and Star Wars. It is his work that will fill the program of our music and film event. We will hear motifs from such films as: the aforementioned Star Wars, Hook, E.T. or Schindler's List.
The concert program will be complemented by the stories of a real specialist in this field, Magda Miśki-Jackowska, author of the popular podcast Score and the City and long-time editor of RMF Classic — a radio station playing the most beautiful film music.
So... Silence! Camera... Action!
