MADSEN

The undulating Thyborøn rock strikes against VEGA

Under the name MADSEN, Johnny Madsen's son follows in his father's footsteps and sets himself up for a present and beautiful blend of raw honesty, poetic thoughtfulness with a crisp West Jutland humour.

With him he has his regular band, who have been joined by three eminent choral singers. Together they lift his lyrics about life, loss, hope and love up into the higher layers of the air with both magnificent arrangements and quiet moments of pure musical magic.

MADSEN has received dazzling reviews for his immersive concerts. Berlingske got a whopping six stars when the band fired up and for an unforgettable evening at Gamle Scene in the Royal Theatre.

Rasmus Madsen, himself one of the country's most outstanding guitarists, has assembled a strong team of musicians who have all stood on stage with both father and son throughout the years. The tour is titled Ud Med Knud, which refers to Johnny Madsen's banter with his regular sidekick and guitar player Knud Møller, who now unfolds his divine riffs with his son.

The evening in VEGA will be a tribute to music, to Johnny Madsen's wondrous discography and the living words that bind us all.
