Distant galaxies, magical lands, mysterious worlds hidden away from everyday life — cinema has always allowed viewers to push the boundaries of imagination. The Silesian Chamber Orchestra will invite the audience on an extraordinary journey through the most fascinating film universe, whose protagonists are wizards, explorers, warriors and dreamers.

The program will feature compositions that have been permanently inscribed in the history of cinema. The audience will visit Hogwarts with music from the Harry Potter series, travel through Middle-earth with the heroes of the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, and travel to Narnia - a land where magic and reality intersect at every turn. There will also be themes from Star Wars, one of the greatest phenomena of pop culture, whose music by John Williams has been igniting the imagination of subsequent generations of viewers for nearly half a century.

The concert will also take listeners to the worlds of the future. The monumental sounds of Dune, Inception and Matrix will show the contemporary face of film music, in which electronic inspirations meet the power of a symphony orchestra. In turn, Avatar will remind you of the extraordinary power of cinema, which allows you to create entire worlds that exist only thanks to the imagination of the creators.

There will also be songs that have been moving viewers for years with their beauty and emotional strength. The program will include touching melodies from Beauty and the Beast, the majestic Conquest of Paradise from the film 1492: Journey to Paradise, and famous themes from Jurassic Park and Pirates of the Caribbean. A special place will also be taken by music from the film Requiem for a Dream — one of the most recognizable examples of modern film music, whose hypnotic sound has gained popularity far beyond the screen.

The magical world of film is a concert for all those who believe that a few sounds can open the door to other realities. It is an encounter with music that allows you to relive your favorite film stories and reminds that the greatest magic of cinema often lies precisely in its soundtrack.
