Little Euphonias: Swirls and Loops

The youngest audience of the Eufonie Festival, together with their guardians, are invited to the concert of Wiry i telki performed by the Chain Ensemble. On Sunday, November 29, there will be two concerts: at 11:30 (3-5 years) and at 13:00 (6-9 years).

Sound can draw the listener in like an optical illusion and then jam like a broken record? This meeting tests the power of musical endless repetition, which can sometimes warp time. We will start with the spectral vortices inspired by the Vortex Temporum. We will then immerse ourselves in the mathematical precision of Baltic minimalism in the spirit of Pärt, and then enter the looping pagan ritual explored by Kutavičius. Finally, we will look for themes of trance, highlander element from Orava. Music is absorbing and mesmerizing.

The theme of this year's Euphonies is “golden glue” — a story about music that has helped preserve memory, build dialogue and find hope in our part of Europe for centuries, even in difficult moments of history. The full programme of the festival is available here.
