“Small Hands, Big Words” — Reciter Review 2026

We invite you to participate in the District Recitation Review of Polish Poetry for Preschoolers “Small hands, big words” — edition 2026. This is a unique meeting with poetry, during which the youngest residents of the Czarnkow-Trzcianecki county will present poems by Polish poets.

The aim of the review is to develop recitation skills, popularize Polish children's poetry and encourage the youngest to perform on stage and overcome shyness. The review is not a competition — each participant will receive a diploma and a surprise prize.

The event will take place on 26 November 2026 at 10:00 in the building of the Kazimiera Iłakowiczówna Public Library and Cultural Centre in Trzcianka, 22 Sikorskiego Street.

Each kindergarten can submit a maximum of two participants. Children prepare one poem by a Polish poet, which they can present individually or in a duet. The duration of the performance can not exceed 5 minutes. Recitation can be enriched with gesture, movement and elements of characterization.

Applications are accepted until November 17, 2026. The completed application form can be sent to the e-mail address: dzieci.bpick.trzcianka@gmail.com or delivered in person or by mail to the library at ul. Sikorskiego 22 in Trzcianka.
