Malene Mortensen

Malene Mortensen performs at La Fontaine with a lively and swinging concert that is clearly rooted in the jazz tradition. This evening features a repertoire that mixes energetic jazz standards, up-tempo swing numbers and warm Latin and bossa nova melodies — music with rhythm, presence and space for musicians to interact. Malene Mortensen has released 14 albums and ensembles with both Danish and international jazz musicians. At La Fontaine, this evening she returns to her core: the jazz standards she has been singing for many years and the Brazilian rhythms, which in recent years have gained a greater place in her repertoire. Together with a swinging band, the audience can expect a warm, energetic and informal evening amidst Copenhagen's jazz environment.
