SMALL/BIG MUSICIANS

Mali/Big Musicians is a unique concert in which young artists have the opportunity to meet the professional stage and experience of our musicians. It is a space for talent, passion and first important concert experiences, and at the same time an opportunity for youthful energy to meet the mastery of orchestral performance.

During the concert, students of the Sopot Music School will perform together with the Polish Chamber Philharmonic Sopot under the baton of Szymon Morus.

The program includes works showing the diversity of 20th century music. Witold Lutosławski's 5 folk melodies are an example of an extremely artful combination of the simplicity of folk themes with modern compositional language. Gustav Holst's two suites — Brook Green Suite and St. Paul's Suite — impress with their richness of colour, rhythmic energy and elegance of orchestral sound. The concert will be completed by Tadeusz Baird's Colas Breugnon, a work full of dynamism, humor and vibrancy.

It is more than a concert — it is a meeting of young performers with tradition and experience, an opportunity to discover music together and an important step on the path of artistic development!
