The Little Cinematographer: pre-screening • The Mystery of Singing Birds, directed by Antoine Lanciaux (2025)

9-year-old Lucie goes on vacation to her mother, who conducts archaeological excavations. Soon the girl will begin to discover the story herself, only a family one. Will he know the secret of the burnt mill? The town of Bectoile, although small and inconspicuous, hides many secrets. Raised in the area Caroline, Lucie's mother, along with her colleague Pierrot, takes care of one of them: an abandoned castle. Her daughter, the resolute Lucie, does not lag behind and tries to solve the mystery of the disappearance of her grandfather. Does this story have anything to do with a loud fire years ago and a mysterious signifier healing animals? To determine this, it is not enough to have eyes around your head. Lucie has to mess things up with teenage roommate Yann, listen to the ubiquitous blue tits and dig through vintage newspapers. This holiday he will remember for the rest of his life!
