Pumpehuset, København

On November 6, Eddie Van Halen's son, Wolfgang, plays at the Pump House with his lavish hard-rock project Mammoth.

About the event

Eddie Van Halen's son occupies the Pump House with hard rock sensation Mammoth

Mammoth arrives at the Pump House and has Florence Black as special guests. The project, led by Wolfgang Van Halen - playedendarian Eddie Van Halen's son - stands amid a rare momentum: new music, massive international attention and a live show built on hand-played energy, big hooks and vocals that cling to the body from first encounter.

The band is one of the most significant hard rock breakthroughs of the 2020s. In less than five years, the project went from zero to over 100 million streams, #1 placements on several Billboard rock charts, and sold-out headliner tours. Their debut album Mammoth WVH opened in the Top 15 on Billboard 2002, sending “Distance” to #1 on Rock Radio, followed by a Grammy nomination for “Best Rock Song”. The trend continues with Mammoth II debuting in the Top 5 on Billboard Top Album Sales and the band once again hitting #1 on Top Hard Rock Albums. The album is met with wide acclaim from Classic Rock, American Songwriter, Rolling Stone and KERRANG! , which points to a project in distinct movement—both as songwriting and as a band.

Live Mammoth has toured globally with names such as Metallica, Foo Fighters and played on major TV platforms such as TODAY and Jimmy Kimmel LIVE! 2024 will also feature Wolfgang Van Halen's stage performances from the MusiCares gala and the Oscars, where he will share the stage with Slash, Mark Ronson and Ryan Gosling.

The current chapter is written with third album The End (BMG). Recorded at 5150 Studios with Michael “Elvis” Baskette and created by playing the ideas forward in real time, the album lifts pace and intensity. The title number “The End” sets the tone with explosive energy and a chorus that invites the listener all the way in. At the same time, the release marks a name change: Mammoth now stands alone without “WVH”. A conscious step and a new start.
