On Halloween, Rainbow Cinema invites you to the Horror Marathon. We start at 7 p.m. and stay together for three sessions — from the Amazon jungle, through the desert where a secret military experiment is spiraling out of control, to a Korean town cut off from the world.

In the program: “Beware Boiúna”, “Onslaught” and “Welcome to Hope”. Three different varieties of horror: survival and a powerful predator, brutal action cinema with genetically modified super soldiers and science fiction with mysterious creatures.

BEWARE BOIÚNA by Mike P. Nelson | 104 min | horror/thriller/action

A team of young doctors embarks on a humanitarian mission deep in the Amazon. In a place where man definitely does not rule, their presence awakens Boiúna, an ancient giant predator associated with South American legend.

The expedition quickly turns into a struggle for survival. The jungle does not give many escape routes, and Boiúna does not intend to give up its territory. The cast includes Kiana Madeira, Jessica Rothe and Logan Marshall-Green.

ONSLAUGHT by Adam Wingard | 92 min | horror/thriller/action/sci-fi

A secret military base, an experiment that definitely doesn't go according to plan, and a squad of genetically modified super soldiers who get out on the loose.

In their path stands Celeste, a former military sniper who will do anything to protect her daughter. A brutal struggle for survival begins, in which there is not much room for subtleties. The film is directed by Adam Wingard, and the main roles are played by Adria Arjona and Dan Stevens.

WELCOME TO HOPE by Na Hong-jin | 160 min | horror/sci-fi

The peaceful seaside town of Hope is cut off from the world by forest fires. Soon, the police begin to receive reports of attacks by aggressive animals. Except this is just the beginning.

Residents discover that mysterious creatures have appeared in the area that do not resemble either people or animals familiar to them. Two police officers try to figure out what they're dealing with — provided they can survive first. The film is directed by Na Hong-jin, creator of “Lament”, and the cast includes Hwang Jung-min, Hoyeon, Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander.
