Comedy monodrama of acting songs inspired by the works of Wojciech Młynarski, Jonasz Kofta, Włodzimierz Wysocki and others with live music.
I run, I run, I run...
“Marathon Man” is a musical story about a man taken over by the system. In a world full of expectations, stimuli and misinformation, the protagonist tries to find the reason for his failures, while unmasking the mechanisms that made him a machine for performing tasks.
The play is not a recital or a biographical story about the authors. This is an author's musical monodrama, in which we follow the fate of a Marathoner - a busy jerk: tired, lost, funny and tragic, who, despite everything, does not stop running.
The performance is the result of a collaboration between Miłosz Dutkiewicz and Marek Wicenciak — young generation artists who share a long-standing fascination with music, form and song. They are laureates and participants of numerous festivals of artistic and acting songs, among others in Warsaw, Łódź and Bydgoszcz.
Written, directed and performed by: Miłosz Dutkiewicz
Miłosz Dutkiewicz, a theater and television actor, is known to viewers from the series “Szpital St. Anna” and “At the Signal”, as well as for performances on theater stages, including the Music Theater in Łódź and the Contemporary Theater in Wrocław.
Music development, accompaniment: Marek Wicenciak
Marek Wicenciak is a pianist who collaborates with musical institutions in Poland and abroad. He has performed at the Stanisław Moniuszko Wielki Theatre in Poznań and at the Berlin Philharmonic.
