The concert of stars will inaugurate the 20th edition of the Silesian International Guitar Autumn Festival in Tychy.

About the event

The concert of stars will inaugurate the 20th edition of the Silesian International Guitar Autumn Festival in Tychy.

The first part of the concert will begin with the AUKSO Chamber Orchestra of the City of Tychy, which will perform the Triptych for string orchestra by Aleksander Tansman. This performance is part of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the death of the Polish composer, who devoted a large part of his work to the guitar. Then guitarists Marcin Dylla (chairman of the jury of the 20th J.E. Jurkowski International Guitar Competition), Ewa Jabłczyńska and Dariusz Kupiński accompanied by AUKSO will play Concerto for 3 guitars and string orchestra. In the case of the latter composition, this will be the premiere performance. This piece was commissioned by the organizer of the Festival by the Spanish composer José María Sánchez-Verdú.

The composition La Nave de Teseo — a concert for 3 guitars and string orchestra by José María Sánchez-Verdú, whose premiere will take place on 17.10.2026 at the Mediatek in Tychy, was co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Fund for the Promotion of Culture as part of the Composers' Orders program implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance.

In the second part of the concert we will hear the leading Polish flamenco guitarist — Michał Czachowski together with the band Indialucia. They will be accompanied by the AUKSO Chamber Orchestra of the City of Tychy under the baton of maestro Marek Mosia. It is a unique artistic project, which is an unobvious and fascinating fusion of two musical worlds — flamenco and traditional Indian music. Although the combination of the sounds of Spanish gypsies and Indian music may seem exotic, it takes on a profound meaning when we recall the history of the Roma who came to the Iberian Peninsula precisely from India. The Indialucia project can therefore be seen as a symbolic return to the roots — a musical meeting of cultures separated by centuries, yet united in a common source. The band's work evokes the atmosphere of pioneering, revolutionary meetings of European and Asian musicians of the 1960s, delighting with exuberance, virtuosity and an unusual palette of colours and rhythms. It is a musical journey full of emotion, expression and energetic dialogue of cultures. Improvisation and rhythm — key elements of both traditions — give the music a lively, dynamic character and open it to new influences. The sound of Indialucia is enriched with elements of jazz, and the show itself with flamenco dance.
