Marius

Marius folds dreamy productions and ear-catching tunes in Ideal Bar

21-year-old Marius is a new force in Danish pop and R&B. Back in March, he released his debut single “upgrade,” which has since been followed by “mount fuji,” which was highlighted by GAFFA as one of the best new songs. Now he is current with the single “persona”.

Marius unites melodic sensibility, raw honesty and futuristic R&B vibes in a universe that delves into both melancholic and europhoric sensibilities. His music has a global outlook that can be traced back, among other things, to his upbringing in Singapore, where the encounter with different cultures has helped shape his musical style.

His music is rounded by contemporary R&B and pop with inspiration from hip hop and experimental guitar sounds. With a deep respect for songwriting as a discipline, Marius builds his universe layer by layer with lyrics that feel like little movies and hooks that stick like déjà vu on first listen. There are countless hours in the studio behind, where expirements of sound and songwriting have gradually shaped his musical expression.

On December 1, Marius steps out of the studio and into the spotlight of Ideal Bar, where you can experience a new, up-and-coming voice on the Danish R&B and pop scene.
