MARK EITZEL

American, Folk, Indie Rock, Indie/Alternative

American Music Club's Mark Eitzel will come to the Flea on March 11, 2027 and give a shaven, authentic concert featuring both his own solo material and American Music Club classics.

Mark Eitzel (American Music Club) is coming to Europe with a series of solo concerts. In addition to older classics from the American Music Club, which will be included in a new box set scheduled for release in 2027, Mark will play songs from his previous solo albums as well as from a new album, which we can look forward to hearing shortly before the tour.

Mark Eitzel has released more than 17 albums of original material, both with American Music Club and as a soloist. The Guardian has called him “America's greatest living songwriter,” and Rolling Stone has previously named him Songwriter of the Year.

American Music Club was originally formed in 1983 and released seven albums before the band disbanded in 1995. The group reunited in 2004 and subsequently released two full-length albums: Love Songs for Patriots and The Golden Age.

In April 2012, Eitzel suffered a heart attack while working on his latest solo album. It forced him to slow down and delayed the release of the album.

For the past seven years Mark has worked composing music for playwright Simon Stephens' plays. At the same time, he has been working on re-releases of American Music Club's albums, which are scheduled to be released in 2024.

Look forward to experiencing a world-class songwriter at the Flea on March 11th.
