Martin Turner

Martin Turner and his band return to the concert stages in 2026, offering further encounters with the classical music of Wishbone Ash.

The Polish part of the “Two Eras” tour consists of three strong evenings:

6.11.2026 — Warsaw, club NIEBO
7.11.2026 — Poznań, 2Progi
8.11.2026 — Piekary Śląskie, OK Andalusia

Each concert will feature two distinct musical sets, representing key stages of the band's career — the Mk.1 and Mk.2 lineups.

The Mk.1 set will focus on tracks recorded by the pioneering original line-up from 1969 to 1974, including material from the seminal albums Wishbone Ash, Pilgrimage, Argus and Wishbone Four.

In turn, the Mk.2 set will present tracks from 1974-1980, when Laurie Wisefield replaced Ted Turner, introducing new musical influences. This period resulted in acclaimed albums such as There's the Rub, New England and Front Page News.

Wishbone Ash was founded by West Country musicians — Martin Turner and Steve Upton — who came to London in 1969 to begin their musical journey. Martin Turner imagined a distinctive, innovative sound based on the harmony of guitars, and guitarists Ted Turner and Andy Powell were recruited through today's legendary commercial for “Melody Maker”. The collaboration of the original lineup has created a unique musical identity that has resulted in some of rock's most cherished works and influenced many successful bands, bringing in millions of records sold and concert attendance. The name Wishbone Ash has become synonymous with high quality, guitar, melodic rock.

As lead vocalist, bassist and key creative force, Martin Turner has played a central role in the artistic and commercial success of the band's most acclaimed albums. His passionate vocals, songwriting talent, melodic sense and production approach were the foundation of Wishbone Ash's signature sound.

Decades later, the music of Wishbone Ash's classic line-ups continues to delight audiences around the world — both in live performances and through a rich legacy of recordings that continue to find new fans. Martin Turner invariably pleases audiences, performing the band's greatest hits along with his current line-up.

With a program that includes classic tracks, concert hits and lesser-known compositions that have touched the hearts of several generations of rock fans, the “Two Eras” tour is an event that no true Wishbone Ash fan should miss.
