What happens in a man's mind before he puts his hands on the victim's throat? Is crime inherent in human nature? Is there an evil gene?
An evening of dark stories will take viewers and listeners into the darkest corners of the human psyche. The program will feature stories inspired by investigative acts, testimonies of crime, passion, madness and fear. Horror stories, originating from different cultures, contemporary and those known from history. Each of them is a gruesome but fascinating portrait of the murderers and their victims.
“Still Life” takes the form of a spectacle of word and sound. The narrations will be conducted by Masha Bogutskaya, who deals with the Art of Storytelling. The event will combine storytelling, a living word, elements of acting. An integral element of the performance will be sound illustration. Original musical works and sound and vocal compositions will be created live by Bart Pałyga. The artist specializes in playing ethnic instruments from all over the world and is a forerunner of the use of throat and aliquot singing techniques in Poland.
Due to the nature of the story and the drastic descriptions contained in them, the event is intended for participants over 18 years of age. In addition, due to the ability to evoke strong emotions and a sense of danger, the performance is recommended to viewers with a stable psychoemotional state.
Enrollments apply. The project is co-financed by the City of Łódź.
