“Still life, living passion” we invite you to the opening of the collective exhibition

On November 13 at 18.00 in the “Sokół” Palace in Skawina, the opening of the exhibition “Still Life, Living Passion” will take place, presenting the works of the art group operating at the Center for Cultural Activity in the Ogrody Estate in Skawina.

The group has existed since 2021, and its members develop their skills under the supervision of art instructor Marian Strzeboński. Artist whose works have graced the Pałacyk Gallery many times. During the daily activities, the coordinator of the group's activities is Anna Wcisło. During the classes, participants learned a variety of artistic techniques, from pencil and charcoal drawing to watercolor and acrylic painting. An important element of the meetings were also lectures on the history of art, with a special focus on the monuments of Skawina and Krakow. The work of the group has so far been seen, among others, in the Dzieduszycki Manor in Radziszów, in the headquarters of the Centre for Cultural Activity and in the Regional Museum in Skawina. Its members are also involved in local artistic initiatives, including the Skavin nativity scene competition, in which their work won recognition.

The title of the exhibition “Still Life, Living Passion” reflects the idea of an encounter with art, in which everyday motifs become an inspiration for creative exploration, and joint painting a space for development, exchange of experiences and artistic expression. During the opening ceremony, Barbara Plachecka, Małgorzata Kowalówka, Grażyna Mrozińska, Elżbieta Wyżga, Maria Kubas, Anna Wcisło, Maria Winczeli, Anna Mucha and Barbara Czopek will present their works.

We invite you to meet art together and get to know the works of local amateur artists!

November 13 (Friday), 6 p.m., “Sokół” Palace in Skawina. The work will be on view until December 9.

How to get there?

Palace “Sokół” is located in the City Park, accessible from Adam Mickiewicz Street and M. Kublińskiego Street. In the park itself, there is a ban on the movement of vehicles. Distance from the park gates to the Palace — entrance from Kublińskiego street approx. 200 m, entrance from Mickiewicza street approx. 150 m. Access by public transport bus to Skawina Szkoła stop (Mickiewicza street): 203, 223, 235, A43, A53, S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, S8, S9, S11. Railway station, Władysława Sikorski street, distance approx. 500 m.

Where to park?

Access to the building from the city parking located at Żwirki Wigury Street. It is a public car park, with more than forty parking spaces, among which three parking spaces for OZn have been designated correctly marked, with the correct dimensions. These places are located at a considerable distance from the building. The surface of the parking lot is lined with a concrete openwork slab, which makes it difficult for people in wheelchairs, moving on crutches or with a cane.
