Raimi turned horror into a live cartoon - with a camera rushing through the forest, full of grotesque scenery and hectoliters of blood. The cornerstone of the whole show is the brilliant, physical creation of Bruce Campbell, who transforms from an unlucky misfortune into an overdrawn macho.
