About the event

Making his first appearance at the Piano Lounge, Marvin Muoneké, one of the South's most respected jazz vocalists and entertainers, brings an evening of fun and warmth with timeless seasonal classics and legendary jazz songs.

Whether you're looking forward to the Christmas season or not, Marvin promises something for everyone with a voice and musicality that is bound to warm the cockles of the hearts of even the hardest of humbuggers.

Hear classics like The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year, The Christmas Song and White Christmas delivered by a 'singing superstar in the making' as declared by Jazzwise Magazine.

Marvin Muoneké, is a vocalist, songwriter, trumpeter and performing artist with a deep and silky voice that has to be heard to be believed and really does the repertoire justice. A voice that draws inspiration from the legendary voices of Joe Williams, Billy Eckstine, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, to name but a few. Bringing the songs and sounds of mid-20th century jazz and popular music to modern listeners of all ages, Marvin possesses a rare and beautiful presence that can light up any audience of any venue within seconds. Marvin brings classic sounds to modern audiences with charisma, elegance and an unmistakable presence and passion for storytelling through song. His love for jazz began at age four after hearing Louis Jordan’s 'Is You Is Or Is You Ain’t My Baby' featured in a classic Tom and Jerry cartoon. As a teen, he immersed himself in the music of early jazz legends like Jelly Roll Morton and Don Redman and his passion for the musical art form flourished, later joining the National Youth Jazz Orchestra in 2014 under Mark Armstrong.

Nominated in 2024 at the Boisdale Music Awards for Jazz Artist Of The Year, and for Vocalist Of The Year at the 2026 Jazz FM and All-Party Parliamentary Jazz Awards alongside icons like Yazmin Lacey, Courtney Pine, Emma Smith and Ezra Collective, Marvin's star is undeniably on the rise. Playing 7-8 gigs a week, Marvin has built a fearsome reputation around the South of England and is now regularly seen in major jazz venues in London including PizzaExpress Live in Soho.

He has featured on TV in both The Voice and Britain's Got Talent. He regularly tours with the award-winning Down for the Count Swing Orchestra and has been invited several times to perform at the beautiful Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall in Armenia.

In March 2025, he realised one of his lifelong dreams of becoming a big band leader and formed his very own swing orchestra called Big Marv’s Big Fat Band. He is a captivating performer, musician and band leader with an assurance that belies his youth. Marvin dubs himself as 'The Young Man with The Old Soul" and once you hear his voice and style, you'll understand why.
