An author's play by Michał Telega inspired by Gilbert Adair's novel “The Holy Innocents”. The Making of the film “Dreamers” is a distant behind-the-scenes reality for the audience of acting, in which the ongoing discussion about the corporeality and limits in the practice of art explores social fears and frustrations on the sexual background. The show asks a number of questions about the disastrous effects of the norms we are all used to, which become a symptom of the impulses, dreams and needs of Polish society.
Inspired by the work of Bernardo Bertolucci, who in 2003 directed the novel “The Holy Innocents” by Gilbert Adair, twenty years after the film's world premiere, director Michał Telega invited a team of actors in search of answers to the mysteries of an internally focused world. Is a world in which art is the meaning of life or provides economic existence and allows development a space of impunity for the great dreamers? Faced with hidden desires for sexual liberation, how do artists face the crisis situations that the decision to fulfill their dreams provokes?
