We invite you to an author's meeting with Mateusz Górniak around the book “Ćpun i glupek” — nominated for the XXI Gdynia Literary Award in the prose category. The conversation will be moderated by Ana Matusevič.In his latest novel, Mateusz Górniak presents the fate of a patchwork family made up of excluded people: the partying, irresponsible Fish, the eponymous psychoactive abuser of the drug Addiction and their adopted son, Głupek, who was found in the dumpster. Their fates are full of twists and turns, partings and reunions. However, the strength of the Junkie and the Fool is not so much the story itself, but how much it symbolizes. As Kapituła notes, Górniak's new novel “takes place in a skewed reality, in an apocalyptic city of kinderterrorists and Tirovci, where from biblical fragments the author glues together an authentically tender story of care and hope.”
