Fairytale and animal-like — a matinee for the whole family! First, a quintet presents the story of Sergei Prokofiev's “Peter and the Wolf.” The careless Peter has not closed the garden gate and promptly receives a visit from the bad wolf, who must be chased away. No wolves and birds, but all sorts of other animals play a role in Camille Saint-Saëns' enchanting “Carnival of the Animals”: for example, a lion, an elephant, a mysterious swan, turtles and fish, but also very exotic creatures called “pianists.” The stories of both works are presented with new narrative texts so that you can find out exactly what the music is talking about right now.
