“Matria” is a grotesque clown show without language about motherhood and femininity: raw, absurd and full of black humor. Between laughter and silence, she talks about the loneliness of being a mother, the strangeness between former self and lived mother role, inexplicable tears, chaos in everyday life and invisible care work. In addition, the piece opens up a view of being a woman beyond motherhood, under social pressure and a constant view from outside.
