Without the help of a record label, the Los Angeles-based artist has built a massive global fanbase with his powerful vocals, honest lyrics and emotional pop universe where vulnerability and big melodies go hand in hand.

Many first got to know Matt Hansen through TikTok, where today he has over 3 million followers. From there, interest grew exponentially, and with original releases totaling more than 1 billion streams worldwide, he has distinguished himself as an artist with both strong musicality and a rare ability to create presence through music. In 2025, Matt Hansen could be seen in a sold-out show in Pumpehuset.

His debut album 'Orchid' is his most personal project to date — a raw and honest work about love, loss and hope. The album brings together several of the songs that have helped define his breakthrough, including “something to remember”, “yellowstone” and “LET EM GO”. With a modern blend of pop, indie and emotional singer-songwriter tradition, Matt Hansen manages to turn life's most vulnerable moments into relatable songs that reach listeners around the world.

The growing international success has also led to a strong live career with headliner tours on three continents as well as warm-up jobs for names such as Train, Teddy Swims, Lauv and Alec Benjamin. Most recently, he made his national television debut on The TODAY Show.
