Matt Hansen

LA-based singer-songwriter Matt Hansen comes to KOKO

LA-based singer-songwriter Matt Hansen has quickly emerged as one of today’s most captivating voices. Without a record label, he has independently built a devoted global following with his powerhouse vocals and emotionally charged songwriting, first connecting with fans on TikTok, where he now has over 3 million followers, before breaking out with original music that has amassed more than 1 billion streams worldwide. His recently released debut album Orchid marks his most personal project to date, an exceptionally raw body of work that navigates love, loss, and hope, bringing together the hits that fueled his independent rise, including “something to remember” “yellowstone,” and “LET EM GO.” By turning life’s most vulnerable moments into deeply relatable songs, Hansen has built a global community rooted in shared experience, reframing vulnerability not as weakness, but as a powerful source of strength and connection. That emotional honesty has translated into a rapidly growing live presence, including headline tours across three continents, support slots with Train, Teddy Swims, Lauv, and Alec Benjamin, and most recently, his national television debut on The TODAY Show.
