American songwriter Matt Maeson spins songs of the imperfect and fragile. He embraces darkness and turns doubt, pain and hope into powerful anthems. Usually influenced by Maeson's vivid, acoustic guitar playing.

In even the most frantic moments, Maeson manages to make time stand still just long enough to capture the nerve of lived life in his songs. In particular, on his huge hits “Cringe” and “Hallucinogenics” (feat. Lana Del Rey). With them, he made history as the first male solo artist to get two songs off a debut record at #1 on the Alternative chart.

Also on stage, Matt Maeson is both present and uncompromising. His concerts are known for their raw nerve and acoustic intensity — most recently documented on the live album That's My Cue: A Solo Experience (2024), recorded on a sold-out tour across the United States.

Along the way, he both married and became a father -- a new and overwhelming chapter for the singer, who lays out with brutal honesty the challenges of his major life upheaval on his newest single “Everlasting.”
