MC SQUARE & JAZZ PEOPLE

For reasons independent of the artists and organizers, the concert and the exhibition MC Kwadrat & Jazz People are postponed to a new date — October 24, 2026. Tickets purchased for the June date remain valid. We apologize for any inconvenience.
We invite you on Saturday 24 October at 17.00 to the performance hall of the Ostrołęcki Cultural Centre, for an unforgettable jazz concert combined with the opening of a musical poster exhibition. “MC Kwadrat & Jazz People” - is a project synergistically combining jazz music with jazz graphics.
Jazz graphics? And what does that mean? Last year, MC Kwadrat drummer Sebastian Bauman created a series of posters that portray jazz people through the prism of their creativity, stage personality and instruments on which they played their iconic themes and virtuosic improvisations. Jazz is a music that is as casual as it is ordered, which seeks harmony of soul and body. This is also Sebastian's work. Each poster contains a unique conceptual key highlighting the characteristic features of the image and work of the portrayed artist, truly jazz harmony, expressive rhythm and elements of inspired improvisation.
MC Kwadrat is a band founded by Mateusz Cwaliński 9 years ago. Its members adhere to the principle of “less sounds, more music”. They play tonal, rhythmic and safe jazz - one that does not hurt your teeth. In recent years they have traveled all over Poland, popularizing traditional jazz, gospel, swing, fusion and latino. Their concerts are accompanied by positive musical Energy, because as Einstein himself proved E=MC Kwadrat. This time they will refer to the work of jazzmen portrayed by Sebastian such as: Komeda, Karolak, Davis, Corea, Pastorius or Buddy Rich.
This project is the result of many years of fruitful musical collaboration between Sebastian and Mateusz and the common desire to popularize jazz through the synesthesia of the arts.

The jazz quartet MC Kwadrat will perform, consisting of:
Mateusz Cwaliński - piano/Hammond organ/ vocals
Stefan Kulawczuk - saxophones
Jacek Pikora - double bass
Sebastian Bauman - drums

At 17.00 we invite you to a concert in the performance hall, and after the concert to the opening of the exhibition in the main hall of the OCK.
