Mechanical orange

Hooligan Alex perfectly entertains himself at the expense of others: he commits robberies, rapes and robberies. The transformation of a morally unprincipled bully into a decent citizen through brutal brainwashing (novel therapy) and his return to old practices became the basis of Kubrick's terrifying vision, taken from Anthony Burgess's seminal novel, set somewhere in an undefined future.

The soundtrack of the film consists of songs created by Wendy Carlos on the Moog synthesizer and Beethoven classics, among others. The mood of the siege is enhanced by the elaborate scenography maintained in the spirit of decadent pop art.

The film has been controversial since its first screenings. The power of the impact of the film does not weaken: to this day, Mechanical Orange shocks and attracts at the same time.
