Merkules (CA)

Doors: 19:00

The platinum-selling Canadian rapper Merkules is known for his brutally honest lyrics, raw narratives and impactful delivery. He hails from Surrey in British Columbia and has built a huge following by combining raw emotion with an unstoppable energy -- with over a billion streams and views worldwide.

Now Merkules is back with his most ambitious and personal project to date: 'Survivor's Guilt'. “It's been five full years since I last gave you any music you could listen to,” Merkules explains. “In that time I've had to dig as deep into my soul as possible... so I could give you the best version of myself.” The album features an impressive array of collaborators, including Shaquille O'Neal, D12, Prof, DAX, Classified, Afroman, Nhale, Chris Webby, B-Real, Brotha Lynch Hung, X-Raided, Evil Ebenezer, Ricky Hil and Dizzy Is Dead. Each issue is carefully crafted and reflects the evolution and intensity that only time and thought can create.

Merkules shot his career off with viral freestyles and underground anthems and has since collaborated with icons such as DMX, Tech N9ne, Kevin Gates, Jelly Roll and E-40. His “hangover rap” style -- emotional, honest and unfiltered -- has secured him number one spots on iTunes, platinum status in Canada and headlining tours in North America, Europe and Australia.

“My goal is to help people with this record,” he says. “I want you to cry, laugh, smile and nod your head so hard it hurts your neck.”

With Snoop Dogg's backing and Death Row Records in the back, the Merkules are back -- stronger, deeper and more compelling than ever. Welcome to 'Survivor's Guilt'.
