The famous production of the opera by Georges Bizet, directed by Richard Eyre, returns to the cinema screens. Mezzo-soprano Elīna Garanča impresses in the title role. On stage, as Don José, she is partnered by the excellent tenor Roberto Alagna. The orchestra is led by Yannick Nézet-Séguin, who debuted at the Met at the time.
