“I was very lucky” — free performance about Andrzej Wajda

🎬 “I was very lucky” — meeting with Andrzej Wajda's work

On 9 October 2026 at 18:30 we invite you to the Wielicki Cultural Centre for a meeting dedicated to the work of Andrzej Wajda — one of the most famous Polish film and theatre directors.

This is a colorful and accessible story about the life, films and work of the artist, complemented by music, famous songs, photos and excerpts from films.

The performance takes the form of Andrzej Wajda's meeting with the audience. His character is played by actor Wojciech Gałziński, who talks about the director, his films and work, but also about Wajda as a man — from a slightly more private perspective. The whole is accompanied by live music performed by pianist Wojciech Wachułka.

It is an opportunity to look at the work of Andrzej Wajda not only through the prism of his films, but also to learn about stories and curiosities related to his work and Polish cinema.
