Two musical worlds will meet in one evening. Capella Bydgostiensis under the baton of Raoul Grüneis will present Béli Bartók's Divertimento — a work full of energy and striking contrasts for string orchestra, composed in 1939.
The second part of the program will be filled with Focus — an extraordinary suite by Eddie Sauter, created for the legendary saxophonist Stan Getz. The composition combines a precisely recorded set of strings with the freedom of jazz improvisation, leading listeners to the borderline between classical and jazz.
The soloist will be played by saxophonist Finn Wiesner.
