Between the classics and the fire of flamenco

Passion, rhythm and Spanish temperament — Gemini Park Tychy will be filled with flamenco sounds.

The guitar can talk without words. She can be gentle and lyrical, but also full of temperament, rhythm and fire. During Eryk Żużałek's guitar recital, these two faces will meet on one stage.

Eryk Żużałek is a guitarist and student of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, where he is studying under the guidance of Marcin Dylla, PhD, and Prof. Wanda Palacz. His artistic path grows out of the classical guitar tradition, but for years it has also led him towards flamenco — music that has become his greatest passion. A special experience on this trip was a year's stay in Seville. It was there that he could learn flamenco not only from sheet music and recordings, but above all from up close — directly from Spanish musicians, meeting different schools, styles and personalities of the local scene. This experience allowed him to immerse himself in a culture where music is not only an art, but also a way of expressing emotions, history and temperament.

During the recital, we will hear a guitar that connects two worlds. The precision and craftsmanship of the classical school with the vibrancy of flamenco. Lyricism with rhythm. Focus with expression. Tradition with the personal language of the artist.

Żużałek is a laureate of international guitar competitions, winning the highest laurels among others in Bratislava, Weimar, Kutna Hora, Katowice, Szczecin and Ełk. He performs both as a soloist and as a member of bands. She also performs regularly with Fuego Flamenco, developing her fascination with the Spanish tradition and its unusual rhythmic language. His recital will therefore be more than a presentation of the virtuoso capabilities of the instrument. It is an encounter with the guitar in its many forms — from the subtle, almost intimate sound to the energetic and emotional expression of flamenco.
