An intergenerational encounter with music, folk traditions and plants. Participants will become co-creators of the event. Together, through singing, imitating the sounds of nature and sharing our own knowledge and curiosity, we will build a space for a sound journey into the world of plants, meadows and gardens. During the meeting we will refer to folk musical traditions and old songs, we will also reach for avant-garde techniques of making music, and we will also experience simple being in silence. The meetings also draw on myths and stories and scientific knowledge explaining the age-old relationship between man and nature. We will be looking for an answer to the question of how sound and voice build our connection with the plant world and nature. The meeting is intergenerational, including for the elderly, in situations of dependency, in cooperation with the Poznań DPS, the House of Daily Stay and the Little Brothers of the Poor Foundation.

about the exhibition
Artwork promoting a musical meeting as part of the exhibition “The world as a herbarium. Nature in Art from the 17th to the 21st Century”. On an olive-brown background, there is a botanical illustration showing yellow flowers, green leaves, and the subsequent stages of butterfly development: a caterpillar, a pupa, and two butterflies. In the upper left corner is the title of the exhibition, and in the lower left corner is the inscription “musical meeting”. The composition refers to ancient herbaria and natural illustrations.
