About the event

We invite you to the jubilee concert of Mietek Szcześniak, celebrating the 40th anniversary of his activity on stage. The artist and the band, during meetings full of emotions and emotions, summarize their impressive musical achievements.

The concert “40 years on stage” is an event that is an opportunity to meet with a unique, appreciated artist — Mietek Szcześniak. Loved by the public, he has been popularizing singing gospel and soul music in Polish for years. He collaborated with great musicians, arrangers and producers, among others with the band TGD, Majka Jeżowska, Kayah, Natalia Kukulska and Anna Jurksztowicz.

Together with Edyta Górniak, he recorded “Dumka na dva srce”, the most popular Polish film song.

Mietek Szcześniak consistently and sensitively tells the world stories that no one has heard before — his own stories. He is a laureate of many Polish and international competitions, he has been awarded Fryderyk three times. Already in 1985 he performed at the Festival of Polish Song in Opole, where he won the main prize, and in 1989 in Sopot he received the Amber Słowiek.

The artist's achievements include the albums “Czarno na putih”, “Zwykły cud”, “Sings”, the platinum “Songs From Yesterday” and the gold “Nierówni” — his compositions for poems by Fr Jan Twardowski. The album “Sings”, recorded in English, was created in collaboration with Grammy-nominated American singer Wendy Waldman.

Two new albums by Mietek Szcześniak will be released later this year. The album “Brothers” recorded in Los Angeles and “Jazz dla Dzieci” — a precursor release with the greatest jazz standards sung in Polish, for children and with children.

Book tickets for Mietek Szcześniak's one-of-a-kind concert — “40th anniversary on stage” and listen to the velvety voice of the artist, who touches the hearts of listeners with expression and empathy.
