About the event

There's a hole at the bottom of the lake. That's where the movies come from.

Young, talented director Kris (Hannah Einbinder) gets a chance at a film studio to make a remake of the cult horror series Camp Miasma, which was hugely popular in the 1980s and 1990s. To find inspiration, he goes to meet Billy (Gillian Anderson), who played the main role in the prototype of the project. A visit to an eccentric actress quickly turns into more than just an interview.

Love, Death and Adolescence at Camp Miasma debuted at the Cannes Film Festival, where it took the hearts of critics and viewers by storm — as well as a prestigious nomination in the Un Certain Regard section.

Jane Schoenbrun's latest film (In the Glow of the Screen) currently has 100% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, and viewers leave the screenings delighted.

Although Schoenbrun's film tells the story of the creation of a fictional horror series, it is not a horror in itself, but only draws from its aesthetics. This is a visually beautiful cinephile feast that tells, above all, about the boundless love of cinema. And about how this love changes our lives.

In the center of this story stand two actresses representing two different generations. The legendary Gillian Anderson takes on the role of an eccentric diva, and the famous Hacks Hannah Einbinder in the role of an insecure but talented director. Together they form the most electrifying screen duo of the year.
