We invite you to an author's tour of the exhibition Romance au chocolat. Mirella von Chrupek — an artist known for creating poetic microworlds, this time decided to prepare her dioramas so that they interact in a wide range of fantasies. So we have adventure, romantic, fairytale, salon and futuristic scenes in parallel. All of them, executed with Mirelli's proper subtle humor, are bursting with joy and carefree.

We invite you to an author's tour of the exhibition Romance au chocolat. Mirella von Chrupek — an artist known for creating poetic microworlds, this time decided to prepare her dioramas so that they interact in a wide range of fantasies. So we have adventure, romantic, fairytale, salon and futuristic scenes in parallel. All of them, executed with Mirelli's proper subtle humor, are bursting with joy and carefree.

Mirella von ChrupekVisual artist, photographer and dioram designer. Her spectrum of activities also includes scenography and small sculptural forms. In his latest digital photomontages, he uses archival photographs. He creates visions of alternative spaces from the borderline of fantasy and reality, focusing on human faces and subjecting them to transformations. In the years 2014-2017 she ran the Gablotka street gallery, located in the center of Warsaw, where she presented thirteen arrangements. Together with Sylwia Chutnik, she published the book “Dino Bambino” (Wytwórnia, 2018) about the adventures of the protagonists of subsequent editions of Gablotka. Since 2017 she has regularly collaborated with the magazine “Kosmos for Girls”, where she runs a permanent column entitled “Mirelli Microcosm”. She presented her works — both in two and three dimensions — at BWA Tarnów, Gallery WM in Amsterdam, ABC Gallery in Poznań, CSW Łaźnia in Gdańsk, BWA Wrocław, Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw, Regional Museum in Konin and Institute of Design in Kielce. Scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Tennis enthusiast. He lives and works in Warsaw.

The exhibition is co-organized by the E.Wedel Chocolate Factory Museum.
