Misunderstand me Ben Becker visiting Gregor Gysi

Ben Becker is an event — on stage and in front of the camera. With his unmistakable voice, physical presence and an intensity that oscillates between vulnerability, defiance and great acting, he is one of Germany's most distinctive artistic personalities.

In MISUNDERSTAND ME CORRECTLY, Ben Becker meets Gregor Gysi. Two men who could hardly be more different — and yet both live on language, opposition and public impact. One actor, singer, reciter and stage person, the other lawyer, politician, speaker and astute interlocutor. Together, they talk about art and origin, about family, publicity, failure, belief, provocation, and the question of what it means to expose yourself to the judgement of others over a lifetime.

An evening about roles and truthfulness, about pathos and politics, about the theatre of life — and about an artist who never just wanted to please.
