Young Horizons Education: The whole world of Roma

Teenage Romy finds it difficult to find herself in a patchwork family. She is an only child who is not taken care of by either a busy mom, or a rarely present father, or an emotionally unavailable grandmother.

From day to day, due to progressive dementia, the grandmother becomes for the title heroine the closest companion of everyday life; the closer, the less independent. Roma from a lonely teenager becomes a resourceful young person, feeling less and less unwanted, and more and more needed and confident. An elderly woman entrusts her memories, dreams and secrets to her. A sincere, caring relationship is established between the grandmother and the granddaughter, underpinned by a premonition of the impending loss.
