A show recommended since the 18s.
Young Man is a play about a writer's intimate relationship with a man thirty years younger than her. We participate in the evening of the author of the heroine — Annie Ernaux — author of the novel on the basis of which the play was created. The writer gradually reveals the details of the relationship, illustrating the story with a series of intimate slides. Recalling hidden moments of passion evokes memories of one's own youth, even the most difficult ones associated with the experience of illegal abortion. Memories lead her to reflect on her own story, to become a self-aware woman and writer.

From reviews:
“A young man in the Wrocław Contemporary Theatre is an outstanding theatrical event (...) Katarzyna Kalwat once again proved that she is one of the most outstanding and creative creators of the theater today. The introduction to the presentation of photographs turned out to be a sensational idea. Zbigniew Libera froze a couple of actors in a series of scenes, later played by Paszke-Lowitzsch and Smaruja live in intriguing dialogues with body memory. (Mirosław Kocur, teatralny.pl).
“(...) What attracts the viewer is the masterfully conceived and realized theatre duo of Ewelina Paszke-Lowitzsch and Dominik Smaruja. The two actors created perfectly balanced creations — not exaggerated, but also full of tension — both between them and within themselves.” (Katarzyna Mikołajewska, Gazeta Wyborcza Wroclaw).
Warnings:
The show contains scenes of a sexual nature and scenes of nudity.
The topic of abortion is discussed.
In the performance there are profanities and loud, violent sounds.
Cigarette smoke and alcohol appear.
