Myrczek & Schmidt Quintet feat. Krzysztof Herdzin invites you to “Młynarski. Not at all.” — the concert that will close the Rzeszów Jazz Festival 2026. Wojciech Młynarski's songs will sound in jazz interpretations, combining his characteristic humor and precision of words with freedom of improvisation.

Krzysztof Herdzin is responsible for most of the arrangements, and the selected pieces were developed by Sabina Meck. Their approach allows us to look at familiar songs from a new perspective, preserving the dramaturgy of the story and the power of Młynarski's lyrics. The jazz sound underlines both the irony and the lyricism of this repertoire.

Wojciech Myrczek gives his songs their own expression thanks to his sense of words and stage expression. Piotr Schmidt's trumpet leads a musical dialogue with vocals, while Krzysztof Herdzin's piano and the rhythm section of Andrzej Święs and Sebastian Frankiewicz create space for solo statements. This is a proposal for jazz lovers and listeners who appreciate Polish song with good lyrics.
