The Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw invites you to “Lots of hands, feet and heads” — a movement-plastic workshop for the youngest children.
The starting point for our joint fun will be Victor Brauner's surreal painting “Meeting at 2 bis rue Perrel”. On the canvas there is a strange, unique character who has many arms and legs! The main character of the work meets a bird that just happens to be walking, and someone who plays an unusual instrument.
What are we gonna do?
We will divide our meeting into two action-packed parts:
Movement and sound: At the beginning of the class we will do simple movement exercises with which we will know what parts of the body we have and where they are located. We will see where we reach when we stretch, and how much space we take up when we curl up into a small ball!
Plastic: In the second part of the class we will try to duplicate the outlines of our limbs on paper. In this way, together we will build completely new creatures with many heads or legs.
