The focus is on the premiere of Mayako Kubo's “I am in between,” a setting of two poems by the Palestinian writer Mosab Abu Toha. War, destruction and homelessness are the fate of millions of people today without material, emotional and social security. The works of Mark Andre, Kaspar Querfurth and Allain Gaussin transcend this background: Mark Andre refers to the Aschenkreuz, to the statement in the Bible that humans consist of dust. Kaspar Querfurth's “cold pastoral” is a walk through the ashes of a zero hour. Allain Gaussin's “Par delà...” describes the hope that remains in this hour. In Clara Iannotta's “Echo from Afar (ii),” time itself finally becomes an echo space of outrageous, poetic and strange contemplation.
