Larch and the Breath of the Forest: Botanical Castings and Gilded Watercolor

We invite you to a unique painting and sculpting workshop with the raw charm of larch, completely free from the Christmas stamp. At the end of November, we will stop time by combining the plastic form of plaster casts, natural coloring and subtle gilding. Our guide and main motive will become larch. Its lacy, leafless twigs and geometric miniature cones will serve as natural stencils to create unique reliefs.

Stages of work:

During the meeting we will immortalize the details of the plants in a clay matrix, release the spatial shape with a plaster cast and finish it with natural dyes, and in the watercolor part we will use masking fluid to precisely capture the silhouette of the larch on the affirmation card.

What will you create during the meeting?

A series of original botanical miniatures in sculptural form (one larger and smaller forms), finished with various techniques using dry pigments, ink, wax and coffee essence.

One personal Forest Card with affirmation, painted in watercolor with a noble gold finish.

For whom?

For adolescents and adults (from 13 to 99 years). You don't have to have art experience — what matters is the willingness to experiment with raw form and color. The time will brighten up our warming herbal and citrus tea.

Teacher: Agnieszka Natalia Bury

A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Industrial Design and Interior Architecture. She has completed a 10-year training cycle in depth psychology and is currently pursuing personal studies in the current of Jungian analysis. He has 30 years of experience working as a graphic designer, including with client, paper and print. The mission of the workshops — apart from learning techniques and art — is to improve the well-being and increase the sense of agency and joy of life of the participants.
