MY LOVE IRELAND

A performance that consists of songs from the never-staged musical entitled “The Irish Dancer”. The musical was commissioned by conductor Danuta Baduszkowa shortly before her death. The authors of the texts — translations of Old Irish poets and bards — were Ernest Bryl and his wife Małgorzata Goraj. The music was composed by the leader of the 2+1 band Janusz Kruk. Due to the lack of stage realization, the creators decided to immortalize the songs on the album, which premiered at the end of the 70s. Today we rediscover these songs in renewed arrangements, performed by young actors of our theater. The creators invite viewers to the land of old stories from the Green Island. My Love Ireland is a poetic tale of longing for freedom and love. The topic is still relevant though as old as the world.
