The story of how a horse rally was canceled two days before my arrival... and what came of it. Where you can catch the sky for blue. This will not be an ordinary lecture. It will be an experience—about people, freedom, and a world that pretends nothing.
When someone asks me today about the most important experience from Mongolia, I answer without hesitation: people. And the one word that comes back to me every time? Freedom.
It all started with a children's picture of Mulan, and although the Huns have little in common with the Mongols, the image of horsemen, falcons and eagles remained with me for a long time. When I lived in New Zealand, I learned that the Mongols have common roots with Polynesians and Maori. As an archer and horseman, I wanted to feel the wind, space and life that does not fit into the European framework. Two days before I arrived, my horse rally was canceled. And that's when the real adventure began.
This is not a story about the perfect trip. Although it was perfect, and Mongolia turned out to be one of the safest Asian countries.
It's a story about what happens when you lose a plan — and you start to really experience. At the beginning of the meeting I will introduce you to this world with the sound of tank drums. And then... we'll move on.
If you want to feel Mongolia — not the one in the pictures, but the real one — I invite you.
About the author: Patrycja Wojkowska — just a girl who caught her hand with her dreams. She has collaborated with the band Żywiołak, Wataha Drums and other projects, among others. She travels mainly on foot (mountain and long-distance trails), bicycle or horseback, always with a plush rat named Pimpur — her adventure companion. She lived in different parts of the world. Her passion is mountains, survival and sound — she made her dream come true by combining music and climbing — she climbed the Matterhorn and played at the top of the kalimba. He creates his series “Musical Travels”, where he plays in the mountains of the world and in various unusual places. He is professionally engaged in art: graphics, illustration, photography, writes in various ways, plays drums, conducts meetings and workshops. He cannot imagine life without contact with animals.
She talked about her travels on the radio, podcasts, and in Question for Breakfast.
